I ts pretty bad and only takes 10 minutes for it to start getting red and itchiness to start in.

I'm thinking it must be the nickel but I don't know if regular yellow gold bothers me. It started a while after my daughter was born but I have heard its common and that the chemistry change with pregnancy and all that does that sometimes. ODD!!

I bought some ear bud headphones recently that have a silver plating of some sort on the ear piece and broke out with horrible rash around my ear it was cracking and painful. I got new ones and tried them again after they healed up and with in 10 minutes they were itching.

It might be a chemical change to anything that isnt REAL gold or silver.
I am not too sure myself, but I have heard of that happening before.
